COLIN QUINN UNCONSTITUTIONAL Comes to Ridgefield Playhouse, 10/5

By:

Colin Quinn's one-man stand-up show Unconstitutional, which tackles 226 years of American Constitution calamities, from predator drones to the Kardashians, will be at The Ridgefield Playhouse on Saturday, October 5, at 8 p.m. When Colin Quinn comes to Ridgefield, he'll put a comedic spin on American history as only Quinn can. The setting: On May 25, 1787, fifty-five delegates in wigs and tights sat down to create a country from scratch. Fast-forward to 2013, and 226 years of American Constitutional calamities reviewed as only Colin Quinn can. He covers everything from political secrets to the life of the rich and famous and pulls no punches in doing so. Bissell House (378 Main St., Ridgefield) is offering a free glass of house wine or draft beer with dinner when tickets/stubs are presented the night of these events. Because the folks at Clark Construction Company believe in the power of laughter, these shows are part of the Clark Construction Comedy Series with media sponsor 99.1fm WPLR.

In 1995, Colin Quinn started his career on Saturday Night Live where he became a full cast member playing characters such as "Lenny the Lion" and "Joe Blow". He anchored the Weekend Update segment in 1998 until he left the show in 2000. Quinn would often comment on the highly publicized media circuses and end each Weekend Update segment with the catchphrase, "That's my story and I'm sticking to it." Colin Quinn's movie credits include Grown Ups and Grown Ups II and A Night at the Roxbury among many others.

For tickets ($50), call or visit the box office at The Ridgefield Playhouse, (203) 438-5795, or order online at ridgefieldplayhouse.org.The Ridgefield Playhouse is a not-for-profit performing arts center located at 80 East Ridge, parallel to Main Street, Ridgefield, CT.
