Asbury Shorts Screens 'Short Film Concert' at Bridgeport's Bijou Theatre Today
By: BWW News Desk
Asbury Shorts, New York City's longest running short film exhibition, presents its acclaimed touring "Short Film Concert" at The Bijou Theatre in Bridgeport.
Asbury Shorts "Concerts" feature the best in live action comedy, drama and outstanding animation, without promoting competition. Academy Award nominated director Jason Reitman ("Juno," "Up in the Air") calls Asbury Shorts: "The Best Short Film Show I've ever seen!" Combining classic shorts with new international festival selections, ASNY provides a rare opportunity for the public to see world-class films on the big screen, instead of an iPad or computer. Highlights of the 2-hour presentation include:
ASAD - This is the remarkable coming of age story about a young Somali boy living precariously day-to-day in his war torn country. It was nominated for a 2013 Academy Award for Best Live Action Short Film and is a five-time festival winner, including Best Short Film at the 2012 Tribeca Film Festival.Videos
