Aleskie, Ting & Loizides Set for This Week's STATE OF THE ARTS on WPKN-FM

Directors Mary Lou Aleskie, Eric Ting and George A. Loizides headline this week's (Friday, April 15) State of the ARTSwhich airs LIVE every Friday from 12noon to 1pm on WPKN-FM (89.5) in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Co-hosts of the weekly arts & entertainment program are Richard Pheneger and Peggy Nelson.

Mary Lou Aleskie is the Executive Director of the 2016 International Festival of Arts & Ideas opening June 10 and continuing through June 25. This world-renowned festival, celebrating 21 seasons, is a 16-day extravaganza of performing arts, lectures, concerts, walking tours and conversations in theaters and unique open spaces throughout New Haven, Connecticut.

Eric Ting, former Associate Artistic Director has returned to Long Wharf Theatre to direct the current production ofLewiston on Stage II running now through May 1. Ting is currently Artistic Director of the California Shakespeare Theatre nestled in the hills between Berkeley and Orinda, California. ;

Director/actor George A. Loizides is currently on the boards as director of Neil Simon's Lost in Yonkers at the Hampton Theatre Company, a Long Island cultural icon in the Greater Westhampton and Quogue Communities for over 25 years. Located at 125 Jessup Avenue in Quogue, New York, Lost In Yonkers runs now through April 17.

State of the ARTS, featuring arts and entertainment personalities, airs LIVE each Friday from 12noon-1pm on WPKN-FMlocated at 89.5 and streams worldwide online at wpkn.org.
