Shadowbox Live is set to perform at WaterFire. It's a recipe for a seriously sexy summer night. A beautiful setting on the river, sultry and sassy rock ‘n' roll, and fires ablaze on the surface of the water. On July 8th, Shadowbox Live sets your summer sizzling at WaterFire!

Brought to Columbus in 2008, WaterFire combines an evening of art with a stunning display of fire on the banks of the Scioto River.

At 7:30 PM on July 8th, Shadowbox Live's house band BillWho? will begin the evening with 45 minutes of live rock ‘n' roll, warming up the crowd for the lighting of over fifty braziers that hover just above the river.

"It's such a unique, sexy concept that translates very well to the stage," says Amy Lay, popular metaperformer and Art Director for Shadowbox Live. "Everyone performing that evening will be wearing shades of red, orange, brown and gold. We're using the colors of an open blaze to inspire that sensual feeling watching a fire can give."

At 9:00 PM, with the extraordinary backdrop of flames reflecting on the waters of the Scioto and the setting sun, BillWho? will reassume the stage with another set of music, wrapping up the event around 10:00 PM.

"It's a must-see event that's quickly becoming tradition in Greater Columbus," says Nikki Fagin, Shadowbox Live's Director of Media Relations. "I'll bet you've seen concerts on the river, but never one while the river was on fire!"

WaterFire takes place at Genoa Park on July 8th at 7:30 PM. Gates open at 6:30 PM. Admission is free. For directions and more information about WaterFire, visit www.waterfirecolumbus.com. For more information about Shadowbox Live, call 614-416-ROCK, or visit www.shadowboxlive.org.
