STAGE TUBE: OSU President Michael Drake Speaks at Luncheon - Says Jon Waters Will Not Get His Job Back
Ohio State University President Michael Drake spoke this afternoon at a Columbus Metropolitan Club luncheon, saying that he stands behind the decision to fire marching band director, Jon Waters.
Drake reiterated that Waters would not get his job back, saying, "This was necessary to ensure a safe and positive environment for our students, and that means a safe and positive environment for all of our students."
He went on to say, "All of our academic units have a series of principles and practices that they must adhere to... We needed to move forward."
