An annual tradition for more than 30 years, the Nebraska Theatre Caravan brings Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol back to Columbus over Thanksgiving weekend.

This timeless tale of Ebenezer Scrooge and his search for the true spirit of Christmas captures every detail of the classic holiday tale, from the spine-chilling ghosts to the gorgeous renditions of traditional British carols. Crotchety Scrooge, lovable Tiny Tim, and all the fascinating characters that audiences have come to love make it a treasured kick off to the holiday season.

CAPA presents Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol at the Ohio Theatre (39 E. State St.) on Friday, November 24, at 7:30pm; Saturday, November 25, at 2pm and 7:30pm; and Sunday, November 26, at 2pm and 7:30pm. Tickets are $22.50-$35 at the CAPA Ticket Center (39 E. State St.), all Ticketmaster outlets, and www.ticketmaster.com. To purchase tickets by phone, please call (614) 469-0939 or (800) 745-3000.

This Family Series presentation is made possible through the generous support of AEP.

Performed by a spirited ensemble cast of actors and musicians, A Christmas Carol features almost two dozen traditional Christmas melodies including "God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen," "Wassail, Wassail," "Good Christian Men Rejoice," "Away in a Manger," and "Greensleeves." The production artfully recreates both the poverty and luxury of 19th-century London as a backdrop to the fable of Ebenezer Scrooge, a lonely man who is given the rarest of gifts-the chance to change his life and find his heart.
