PlayhouseSquare is pleased to present AN EVENING WITH Sutton Foster with musical direction by Michael Rafter in a one-night-only concert performance in the intimate Hanna Theatre on Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 7:30 p.m. One of musical theater's finest leading ladies, Sutton Foster is a highly-acclaimed, dynamic performer that has starred in an impressive series of successful Broadway productions including Shrek: The Musical, The new Mel Brooks musical Young Frankenstein, Little Women, The Drowsy Chaperone and Thoroughly Modern Millie to name just a few.
Foster will light up the stage in a rare concert performance that will display why she has been called one of Broadway's most prolific new generation leading ladies. On the heels of the release of her first CD release entitled "Wish", Foster will perform songs ranging from Broadway hits to some of her favorite popular music influences and inspirations. From belting out Broadway show tunes to whispers of timeless classics, Foster covers an array of styles and vocal ranges. PlayhouseSquare is pleased to finally bring this Broadway star west of the Hudson for her one-night-only performance in Cleveland.Foster is the recipient of the 2002 Tony, Drama Desk, Outer Critics Circle, and Astaire Awards for her performance in Thoroughly Modern Millie.
