Hudson Players Announces Cast For LIE, CHEAT AND GENUFLECT, Opens 11/6

The Hudson Players are pleased to announce the cast of the laugh-packed comedy farce - Lie, Cheat & Genuflect, written by Billy Van Zandt and Jane Milmore. The show, which opens November 6,is the first in their 65th anniversary season which is sponsored in part by The Hudson Community Foundation and The Hudson Rotary.

According to the Players, the play offers an opportunity for those that just want to get out and laugh in a very light hearted fun filled evening.

Lie, Cheat & Genuflect tells the story of the Buckle brothers who spend all the money they have playing the horses which forces them to borrow money from a loan shark, Pizza Face Petrillo who now he wants his money-or else! When the brothers' rich grandfather passes away they devise a scheme to somehow get some money they know they won't inherit. Add a stuffy lawyer, a nun costume, a hard-drinking, man-hungry housekeeper and a trio of beautiful women and you have a laugh-packed farce of twists, turns and prat-falls. Fast paced, funny with plenty of mistaken identities and big laughs!

"With all the serious issues facing everyone today we thought our audiences would enjoy a chance to just sit back and laugh," said Michelle Dolciato, one of the show's producers. "Lie, Cheat & Genuflect" gives them that opportunity in full force with a traditional fast paced farce and plenty of rapid humor that doesn't stop until the curtain falls. Of course, with a show like this, we think folks will actually still be laughing well into their ride home."

The Hudson Players have also brought back their popular Dinner and Show Package for this event. For one low price of $59, theater goers will get two tickets to the show and dinner for two at Hudson's Restaurant on the Green. Lie, Cheat & Genuflect is being directed by Alex Nine and produced by Marianne Karlson and Michelle Dolciato. The show features Mark Judy, Keith Allison, Kim Mahoney, Pam Matthews, Sue Jeromson, Kristi Ferber, Adam Leventhal and Marco Urbanic.
