It's back! After a two-year hiatus, Cleveland Play House (CPH) is thrilled to announce the return of Festival of Trees! The Allen Theatre lobbies at PlayhouseSquare will play host to this beloved holiday tradition featuring a grand display showcasing dozens of trees exquisitely designed by a team of professional decorators. The magic and wonder of the season is in full swing at this truly unique event, which is FREE and OPEN to the entire community. With Presenting Sponsor Dominion East Ohio and the generosity of Cleveland's corporate and civic leaders, Festival of Trees will raise support for CPH's renowned artistic and educational programming, while making the season bright for the Northeast Ohio community.

"Dominion East Ohio is pleased to team with the Cleveland Play House as Presenting Sponsor for one of the area's premier holiday events," said Sharon Seaton, Dominion Senior Community Affairs Representative, Gas Philanthropy. "This is a great opportunity to generate public awareness and support for EnergyShare, Dominion's last-resort customer assistance program."

Festival of Trees will run from Nov. 25th - Dec. 30th and will officially commence with Light Up the Night, a FREE community tree-lighting celebration, on Monday, Nov. 25th from 5:30 - 8:00 p.m. in the Allen Theatre lobby. Adults and children of all ages are invited to join in for family-friendly activities, behind the scenes access, and a special performance by The Singing Angels. This free event is open to the general public and no RSVP is necessary.

Along with Honorary Co-Chairs Sheila & Larry McHale, CPH promises a truly unforgettable experience each day at Festival of Trees. Upon entering the Allen Theatre lobbies, guests will be able to take a special Share-a-Memory paper ornament, on which they are encouraged to write down a favorite holiday memory. These ornaments may then be displayed on one of the Memory Trees located throughout the Allen lobbies. Guests are encouraged to make new holiday memories by taking photos of themselves and their loved ones next to their favorite ornament or tree.

Those wishing to add another fun-filled family event to their holiday calendars are encouraged to stop by the ticket office to purchase tickets for the beloved holiday classic A Christmas Story playing in the Allen Theatre from Nov. 29th - Dec. 22nd. Children of all ages will enjoy this holiday treat commemorating the 30th anniversary of the feature film. And those looking to finish their holiday shopping early this year are certain to find the perfect gift among CPH's upcoming 2014 productions.
