Blossom Picnic Contest Back For Its Second Year 7/15 The Cleveland Orchestra announces the second year of the Blossom Picnic Contest, to be held on July 15 on the evening of the concert Schumann's Spring Symphony. Have a flair for cooking, design, or hosting a fun party? Compete for prizes before the concert by showcasing your best picnic food and presentation! Judges will include local celebrities and members of The Cleveland Orchestra. This is your chance to meet the musicians. Registration is now open! To register, fill out the form at this link: http://bit.ly/blossompicnic2018.

Participants will set up their Perfect Blossom Picnic on the lawn before the concert - starting as early as 4:30 PM for the 7:00 PM concert. Judging will take place between 5:30 PM and 6:30 PM. Judges will evaluate picnics based on presentation, taste, and creativity - participants should be prepared to share a plate for the judges to enjoy. Two winners will be chosen - best presentation and best food - and announced at intermission via The Cleveland Orchestra's Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts.

Judges will be announced at a later date. Last year's judges were Jacqueline Gerber, Host and Producer at WCLV Classical 104.9 ideastream; Vishu Nath, Executive Chef at Urban Farmer Cleveland; and Chul-In Park, Cleveland Orchestra violinist.

By entering the contest, patrons receive one free lawn ticket to attend the July 15 concert (limit 1 per household). The winner will receive a pair of tickets to an upcoming Cleveland Orchestra concert at Severance Hall during the 2018-19 season.
