Project Manager, Brand Studio - The Public Theater

The Brand Studio department of The Public oversees the creation of all visual/graphic assets for the organization, including but not limited to marketing collateral, show artwork, building signage, digital assets, merchandising, stationary, and more. The Brand Studio department is also responsible for maintaining the visual brand standards of the organization as relates to our seasonal and institutional design guidelines.



The Public Theater seeks a Project Manager to oversee requests and fulfillment of assets from our Brand Studio department. Reporting to the Director of Marketing, this position will be the central liaison between our in-house design team (the Brand Studio department) and all other departments in the organization. Their top-level responsibility is to ensure that all projects are completed on time and on budget based on established deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Manage project requests from internal departments (“clients”), from conception to production. Projects requests include but are not limited to: institutional branding (including season artwork), digital assets (web, email, social), printed mailers (season brochures and postcards), outdoor campaigns (subway advertising, weatherproof signage) and more. Serve as the front-line liaison between the Brand Studio and all clients.

• Work with the Senior Graphics Designer to assign projects to different members of the Brand Studio, based on complexity, timing, and individual schedules.

• Work with clients to establish project timelines (deliverable dates for assets, drafts, proofs, and final product).

• Bidding and Budgeting: oversee current relationships with print vendors and research potential new ones. Bid out jobs as needed and serve as main liaison between The Public and all print vendors.

• Scheduling: manage stakeholder meetings across the institution or with outside parties as needed for project kick-off or check-ins.

• Department administration: assist Senior Graphics Designer in managing PTO and schedules for the Brand Studio team, order supplies, process invoices, maintain an archive of past materials, other duties as assigned.



Requirements



We are looking for a self-starter with strong communication and project management skills. Must be able to approach their work with patience, diplomacy, and detail amidst a high-volume, fast-paced environment. This position liaises between multiple departments and must be comfortable interacting with all levels of the organization. The following experience is ideal, but not required: understanding of project management software (Asana, Trello, etc.), and a general understanding of print production process.
