Musical Theater Director - Academy of the Arts

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Seeking a fun, energetic artistic director who is passionalte about educating students ages 7 - 17 while directing kids in full musical productions.

Vocal coaching and voice lessons for all ages grades 7-12 (all levels) in chorus and individual coaching for related musicals. Direct all aspects of selected musicals including the audition process, rehearsals and productions.





Qualifications

• Preferred Degree in: Vocal Performance (classical or MT), Music Education, and/or Vocal Pedagogy

• Experience leading an ensemble and experience working with young people

• Proficient piano skills

• Knowledge of Musical Theatre repertoire for young people (and audition technique) and a background in coaching young theater performers

• Reliable transportation to Sudbury (no commuter rail access)

• Passionate about and skilled with working with children of all levels and abilities



Job will begin June 2019, part time and possibly grow to full time.
