Listing Information: The Public Theater is seeking an administrator to assist on the logistics of our Mobile Unit program. This is a full-time position (40 hours/week). Some evenings and weekends required.
The Mobile Unit Program Assistant will work with the Associate Director of Mobile Unit to support all Mobile Unit programming including but not limited to twice yearly Mobile Unit tours, Public Theater performances, Joe’s Pub collaborations, ongoing artist commissions and developmental work, and departmental administrative tasks.
Duties include: - Assisting Associate Director of Mobile Unit with the producing of the tour - Attending tour venues as assigned and assisting Mobile Unit team on the road - Acting as a secondary point of contact for all tour venues and community partners - Acting as Marketing Department liaison with venues for tour performances - Maintaining database of tour venues - Facilitating attendance of guests on tour, facilitating their travel - Facilitating attendance of community groups to sit-down performances - Maintaining database of Mobile Unit alumni and coordinating alumni invitations - Scheduling and attending Mobile Unit weekly meetings - Attending Mobile Unit production meetings as required - Coordinating house seats for Mobile Unit Sit-down with General Management - Tracking receipts, collecting petty cash receipts, reconciling AMEX - Other duties as assigned
Requirements: 1-2 years of administrative experience, producing experience, or community organizing experience preferred. Excellent organization and communication skills. Experience managing multiple competing priorities. Successful candidates will have experience in producing theater and experience building collaborative relationships with a people from a wide variety of cultural and socio-economic backgrounds. Experience working in an environment that prioritizes diversity and inclusion is strongly preferred. Fluent in Spanish a plus.
