Infinity Theatre Company



A Tony Award-winning theatre company, Infinity Theatre enriches Annapolis with professional New York City theatre that inspires and transforms artists and audiences, through imagination, creation, and the infinite possibilities found only in theatre. Co-Producing Artistic Directors Anna Roberts Ostroff & Alan Ostroff founded the company in 2010. Past productions include Dames at Sea (Directed by 3-time Tony Nominee Randy Skinner), Sisters of Swing: The Story of the Andrews Sisters, Hank Williams: Lost Highway (Directed by Tony Nominee Randal Myler), Million Dollar Quartet, Almost Heaven, Little Shop of Horrors, I Do! I Do!, She Loves Me, Always...Patsy Cline, My Way: A Musical Tribute to Frank Sinatra, Ring of Fire: The Music of Johnny Cash, Baby, and The Fantasticks.



Infinity has also produced commercially on Broadway, with Past productions including Dames At Sea (Lead Producers) and Pippin (Co-Producers). Infinity was the recipient of the 2013 Best Musical Revival Tony Award for PIPPIN.



Infinity's 2017 Season includes A Closer Walk With Patsy Cline and Godspell, as well as our Theatre For Young Audiences production.



College Internships



Our goal is to inspire and help prepare current students and recent graduates for theatre in higher education and immersion into the professional theatre business. Interns will have the opportunity to work alongside industry professionals and gain valuable skills. Music Interns play in the band of our main stage productions, while Technical and Stage Management Interns work with established professionals in their field of expertise. All interns are involved in our Theatre For Young Audiences production and have technical and front-of-house responsibilities throughout the season. Interns also have the opportunity to join the EMC program, and are invited to see our summer shows and take part in master classes free of charge.



College students and recent graduates are invited to apply and audition for our 2017 Summer Internship Program. We begin accepting submissions each year in February. Deadline for college submissions is March 20th, 2017.



2017 Internship commitment will run from approximately May 22nd through August 13th. Interns are paid a weekly stipend, and have the option to join the Equity Membership Candidate (EMC) program – in which they will receive approximately 10 EMC points. Travel and housing may be available for some interns.



Music Internship



We are currently seeking a music intern for our 2017 summer season. We are specifically seeking applicants with strong piano and music direction skills. Students who are currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) college or a training program are highly encouraged to apply.The Music Intern will play in the band of one or both of our mainstage productions, as well as assist our music directors on our mainstage productions and play a significant role in executing our Theatre For Young Audiences production.



Technical/Stage Management Internships



We are currently seeking Technical and Stage Management interns for our 2017 summer season. We are specifically seeking applicants with strong carpentry and electric skills. Students who are currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) college or a training program are highly encouraged to apply.



Producing Apprenticeship



The producing apprentice works directly under the Co-Producing Artistic Directors and Associate Producer to help produce Infinity Theatre’s 2017 summer season, which includes the mainstage shows: A CLOSER WALK WITH PATSY CLINE and GODSPELL, as well as our Theatre For Young Audiences production, cabarets and special events. This position will gain experience in multiple aspects of theatre arts administration, including but not limited to Producing, Company Management, House Management, Education, Box Office, PR and Special Events.



Qualifications



- B.A. or equivalent degree in theatre or arts administration (We will consider current college students with significant experience and/or past internships in arts administration.)



- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.



- Proficient computer skills with knowledge of Microsoft Office.



- Flexibility to respond to the needs of collaborators and rapidly changing circumstances.



- An ability to work on multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.



- Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.



- Must have a valid driver’s license.





Compensation



Apprentice will receive a weekly paid stipend.
