Since its inception in 1975, The Seattle Children's Theatre (SCT), has served over 4 million children for 43 seasons of creative professional theatre and arts education classes for the Puget Sound region, and is one of the most prominent theatre organizations for young audiences in the United States and the world.

Position Summary:

As part of SCT's sales team, the full-time Group & Subscription Sales Associate will help develop relationships with new audiences - focusing on groups core to SCT’s missions - to drive subscriptions and group sales. Supported by the marketing team, this role requires a self-directed, self-starter who thinks creatively about educating the public about SCT and driving ticket sales for SCT's mainstage season.



Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

- Execute against sales/marketing plan to strengthen relationships with existing audiences and to develop relationships with new ones

- Group Sales: Create in-roads with local neighbors/businesses, special needs audiences, community organizations, travel & tourism resources, etc.

- Subscription Sales: Track and drive subscription sales with current/former customers and develop tactics to initiate relationships for new subscribers

- Plan/coordinate patron experience when groups are on-site attending performances and assist with execution

- Coordinate delivery of marketing materials to key community partners and patrons

- Run daily subscription/sales reports

- Process all subscription orders in Tessitura and coordinate mailing of subscriber tickets

- Assist in execution of ticketing set-up in Tessitura at start of each new season

- Train and support box office staff in regards to subscription orders

- Process and mail ticket donation requests from schools and organizations as needed

- Assist with special events including fundraisers and other development and sales dealings

- Other duties as assigned



Desirable Skills & Qualifications:

- Excellent writing, organizational, and interpersonal skills

- Ability to compile, analyze and interpret information

- Ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple projects at once

- Proven dedication to high quality customer service

- Non-profit and/or arts organization experience a plus

- Knowledge of Tessitura or other like database a plus

- 1-2 years' experience in customer service, communications, or related field

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required



Physical Requirements & Work Environment:

- Enjoy working in a fast-paced, non-profit environment

- Experience or interest in theatre and youth arts education is a plus

- Must be self-motivated

- Must have the flexibility to work some nights or weekends as required

- Clearances/background checks will be conducted



Salary & Schedule:

- Salary commensurate with experience; range $15.50 - $18.00/hour (work week is 37.5 hours); non- exempt, full-time position

- Will be able to work occasional evenings and weekends
