Creative Manager, Campaigns



THE OPPORTUNITY:

RPM is a dynamic new full-service ad agency with a bold vision for the live entertainment space. Our team of experienced industry professionals aims to create a trust-filled partnership with clients, focusing on clear communication, streamlined workflow and creative that captures the imagination. We are looking to expand our team with people who share this passion for the new and uncharted. Clients include the Broadway shows Hamilton, Chicago, Waitress, Moulin Rouge!, The Cher Show, Burn This, plus Second Stage Theater, American Ballet Theatre and Blue Man Group.



THE ROLE:

The Campaign Manager is responsible for project managing the development of all high-level creative campaigns including new key art campaigns, content ideation, campaign evolutions and new business pitches. The Creative Manager will ensure the development of creative briefs, create and manage time lines, and coordinate necessary creative meetings with both internal and external artists to complete a given project. He/She will manage the overall calendar/time lines for all major creative projects for the agency and provide general support to our creative services team.



THE RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Create and maintain an organized tracking system for the agency's major campaign deliverables

- Initiate and facilitate the creative process for creative campaigns, collaborate with Client Directors to develop creative briefs, and build high-level time lines

- Collaborate with internal team to identify any necessary external artists needed and manage the communication with external artists including contracting, scheduling meetings and daily communication

- Keep projects on original time lines and identify unexpected challenges that may impact those time lines

- Route materials internally among various team membersAssist with overflow projects from the Producer, Executive Creative Director and Creative Services team



REQUIREMENTS:

- 3+ years in project management, ideally in an agency environment

- Expertise in creating and executing major project time lines against hard deadlines

- Experience in managing communication with multiple team members and external partners for multiple projects

- Ability to solve unexpected problems swiftly and drama-free

- Interest in New York theater, arts and culture scene

- A true problem solver who is able to anticipate roadblocks and offer solutions

- Late-night, early-morning and weekend work may be required at times



YOUR TYPICAL DAY AT THE OFFICE:

After catching up on some emails and Slacks, you gather the Executive Creative Director, Art Director and Senior Copywriter for an internal meeting to flesh out treatments for an upcoming music video for one of our new clients. At the end of the meeting, you outline next steps and action items for everyone. After the meeting, you grab our Producer to brief him on updates for the shoot so he can start putting together rough estimates for the project. You then get a call from a printer who is making materials for the photoshoot happening tomorrow for another client and there are issues with the file sent late last night. You quickly grab our Creative Services Director to tackle that issue, ensure the new file is sent, and convince the printer to still deliver everything on time.



The afternoon is largely spent at your desk focusing on building out time lines and updating the agency major creative projects calendar when you realize that because of updated time lines, we now have four major project all due in one week. You spend some time scheduling necessary internals to keep those projects moving forward and flag the calendar concern to the Executive Creative Director. You end the day running to Kinkos to get something printed and mounted for a presentation happening the next day before heading home

The Creative Manager will impeccably maintain calendars and deliverables lists to ensure no projects fall through the cracks. This position will require detail-oriented work in a fast-moving environment, and the successful Creative Manager will thrive by taking the time to ensure i's are dotted and t's are crossed, and at the same time move swiftly to keep projects moving forward.
