This position will manage the daily operations of the box office. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in ticketing, customer service and staff management. Position is responsible for all setup, maintenance and management of all ticketing events for Patchogue Theatre for the Performing Arts. This detailed oriented position requires superior customer service, excellent organizational skills, responsible handling of monies, professional interaction with patrons, management personnel and promoters / vendors. Must have an ability to work efficiently, accurately, effectively under pressure, and the ability to complete and prioritize tasks in a timely manner.
RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES
• Responsible for hiring, training and managing of box office staff. • Oversee and support box office staff in their job functions as needed. • Maintain superior customer service both in person and over the phones. • Create, maintain and modify ticketed events in the OvationTix ticketing system. • Prepare and distribute end of day report to General Manager. • Responsible for all accounting and reporting of revenue for all ticket sales. • Maintain event ticket inventory and placement of all ticket holds. • Maintain annual event schedule, ticket sales and total revenue reports. • Prepare and present final box office settlement report for each event to Executive Director. • Responsible for box office safe and all monies inside. • Responsible for compliance to all company policies and procedures in order to adhere to all audit programs. • Responsible for ticket mailings. • Responsible for tracking gift certificate transactions. • Build and maintain Groupons and other promotions in coordination with the Marketing department. • Maintain all event show files. • Perform other duties as assigned.
• High School Diploma and general math skills required. • Must be able to work weekends and nights. • Must be proficient with computers, MS Office programs (Word and Excel) and Google Suite Apps (Gmail, Docs, Sheets and Google Drive). • Ability to work under pressure and resolve customer complaints / issues effectively and professionally. • Ability to handle large sums of money utilizing prescribed cash management controls and day-to-day tasks concurrently. • Ability to work in fast-paced environment with the public, promoters and fellow staff members. • Previous box office management experience preferred. • Knowledge and experience with OvationTix and Eventbrite ticketing systems a plus.
• $30,000 annually plus benefits.
