Know Theatre of Cincinnati Announces CityBeat NYE Speakeasy Party
By: Kelsey Denette
This New Year's Eve, get your fedoras and flapper dresses ready for the 7th Annual Know Theatre CityBeat NYE Speakeasy Party! Attendees can look forward to raucous back room games, tasty appetizers, and two bars serving up classic martinis, and a champagne toast at midnight! Entry to the event is $15 in advance and $25 beginning December 24 at noon. All proceeds support Know Theatre of Cincinnati's mission of creating a playful artistic community where artists can collaborate and grow. This December 31, the party starts at 8pm and jazzes away into the New Year, or until 1am.
Sponsored by CityBeat, this annual celebration is the place to be this New Year's Eve. With coppers cracking down on the bootleggin' be sure you're not followed to the secret speakeasy and get ready to party like its 1923. When the clock strikes midnight, a live feed of Times Square will take over the big screens on both floors, and everyone can enjoy a free champagne toast, but remember not to be too loud as a cop raid could happen at any moment. The jail house is no place to spend the most happenin' night of the year! Our bartenders will be servin' up Manhattans, Sidecars, and Martinis to all you dappers and dolls! Join in on the buzzin' games of Black Jack, Roulette, and Red Dog Poker, but don't bet all of your clams in one place! Our DJ upstairs will keep the swingin' tunes going and the live band downstairs will help you feel the love with your sweetheart at midnight!
Last year, the Know Theatre CityBeat NYE SpeakEasy was the New Years event to beat. Over 350 people attended and had a roarin' good time! Advance reservations are recommended, the event has sold out in advance every year. Save the date now! With coppers seeking out speakeasy locations, this party is bound to fill up quick.
