2014 Cincinnati Fringe Festival to Feature Local Celebrity Mixologist Molly Wellmann Tonight

By:

The Cincinnati Fringe Festival is delighted to invite local celebrity mixologist, Molly Wellman (co-owner of Japps Since 1879) to our nightly Bar Series event tonight, Tuesday, June 3, 2014. Molly has immersed herself in the knowledge of classic cocktails and fine spirits; studying the history and proper preparation of classic cocktails invented in the 1700′s through the 1950′s. She uses these classic cocktails as a base for creating new and innovative drinks containing simple syrups, bitters, liquors and fresh juices that she makes herself.

Molly is honored to have been able to work at many popular, restaurants and bars throughout Cincinnati and Northern Kentucky. She is now co-owner of Japp's Since 1879, Neons Unplugged, and Old Kentucky Bourbon Bar. Molly has been featured in Cincinnati Magazine, Cincinnati Enquirer, Metro Mix, and Cincy Chic, as well as many well-read blogs. She has been voted best mixologist/bartender by CityBeat magazine for 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013. Molly was born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio. After spending twelve years in San Francisco, she returned to her beloved hometown to be closer to her family. Molly's book Handcrafted Cocktails was released earlier this year and can be found a number of local bookstores and on Amazon.com.

Join hundreds of Fringe artists, patrons, volunteers and staff for a night at Know Theatre's Underground Bar featuring the delectable cocktails prepared by Molly Wellmann. She'll be behind the bar from 9 pm - 1 am.

Please join us for Craft Cocktails with Molly Wellmann tonight at Know Theatre of Cincinnati. (Please email Alexandra atakesman@knowtheatre.com or call 513.300.5669 if you are planning to attend.)
