Shanghai Grand Theatre has been active in supporting exploration and development of the arts scene FN and maintain close working relationships with top international art institutions, such as the United States Juilliard School, Indiana University Jacobs School of Music, Bard Conservatory. And during the 2015 "Sino-British cultural exchange year", to promote cultural relations between Britain deeper and lasting development, Shanghai Grand Theatre will be the spring and summer to launch two special performances by music's rising stars who play: UK City of London Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Guildhall School of Music and Drama, GSMD) to give the "youth camp opera" featured GALA, and the Scottish National Youth Orchestra concert symphony interpretation; but also around performance, planning a series of lectures and art-related teaching activities.

3 to 4 April, Shanghai Grand Theatre and GSMD teamed to launch a student by the school teachers and vocal performances starring opera essence - "Youth Opera School" featured Gala. Everyone familiar repertoire includes both Mozart "Don Giovanni," Donizetti "Love glycol," the excerpt, there Masi Nie "Manon," and the British composer Britten "Albert Herring" in classic. Through a new force to choreographed music tracks excellent interpretation, so that viewers enjoy a taste of Shanghai essence of classical and contemporary opera. During the performances, but also bring lectures and tours by GSMD play a leading principals and senior producer, to help people understand the track, and deepen understanding of British music education, especially with the status quo of traditional opera education.
UK City Guildhall School of Music and Drama (Guildhall School of Music and Drama, GSMD) is the world's top art schools in the past two years in a row by "The Guardian" as the best of the UK professional institutions.
Founded in 1880 GSMD, is the only one in England covering music, theater and theater technology university, located in the heart of London, next to the Barbican Arts Centre and St. Paul's Cathedral, the College by the City of London Corporation (City of London Corporation ) owned, and its headquarters - named after the City Hall (Guildhall).
Opera is one of Studies curriculum GSMD acclaimed, it provides a high level of professional vocal training. The annual show different scale professional production of the show, performances from opera fragments to small opera, to complete the three-act opera. Recent productions include: Dvorak's "cunning peasant," Arne's "repair Hooper," Stella Della's "San Giovanni Battista," Britten's "Owen Winn Greif, "and Mozart's" The Marriage of Figaro. "
GSMD for performing arts training a large number of performing artists, famous alumni include pianist Sa Chen, Li Chen tone, Paul Lewis, trumpeter Alison Balson, flutist James Galway, soprano Kate Rowe Yar, mezzo-soprano Anne Sophie von Otter, bass Bryn Terfel, jazz singer Stacey Kent; and a public superstar actor: Shakespeare old drama of bone Simon Russell · Bill, "Downton Abbey" Missy Michelle Dockery, "Wizard Prince" Orlando Bloom, 007 Daniel Craig, "Trainspotting," "Moulin Rouge" and "Star Wars "where Ewan Grage, HBO peak oratorio" The Wire "starring Dominic West, and" Homeland Security "and" Wolf Hall "starring Damian Lewis, and so on.
