When violence simmers at the edge of every day and every neighborhood, what better way to combat the stress than by trying to get to know your neighbors, one home invasion at a time?
Described as "what the musical ONCE might be if it were set at a Wrigleyville block party" the new play WILL THE CIRCLE is a comedy featuring the songs of the great Americana musician Kevin Welch, and opens August 20 at Victory Gardens Theatre. WILL THE CIRCLE follows a small group of young apartment dwellers lost amongst homeowners, each struggling to create the circle that may or may not ever end up including them. Unfortunately, creating the "micro-clan" they've heard is a trend for the coming decade ---along with bullet-proof houses and armored communities--- ends up for them involving just the tiniest bit of home invasion.
