(X) Collective to Present MOSAIC SERIES: BLACK BRUNCH for Chicago Theatre Artists
Founder Alexis Green leads the community gathering focused on nourishment and creative sustainability.
(X) Collective will present Mosaic Series: Black Brunch, a community gathering created for Black theatre artists to connect, reflect, and build with one another over a shared meal. Part of (X) Collective's ongoing Mosaic Series, the brunch centers conversation, reciprocal relationship-building, and intentional space-making for artists across disciplines and career stages.
Through shared plates, full cups, and open conversation, participants are encouraged to exchange stories, deepen relationships, and consider what it means to sustain creative practice in community with one another.
The Mosaic Series was created by (X) Collective as a way to build community beyond the rehearsal room and encourage deep, genuine relationship-building. Each event in the series approaches community-building as an active, ongoing practice, one that values curiosity, collaboration, and the possibility that emerges when artists are given room to simply be together.
"Mosaic Series: Black Brunch is about nourishment in every sense of the word," said Alexis Green, founder of (X) Collective. "It's a chance for Black theatre artists to pause, gather, and be reminded that we do not have to navigate this work alone."
Founded in Chicago, (X) Collective is a collective of theatre artists committed to engaging communities through service, collaboration, and community-centered experiences. Through gatherings, creative programming, and reciprocal partnerships, (X) Collective seeks to create spaces where artists and communities can meaningfully connect.
