Windy City Burlesque Fest 2015 to Kick Off in June

The 5th Annual Windy City Burlesque Festival is going to add even more sizzle to Chicago's summer. Join us for a cavalcade of feathers, rhinestones, fans, sparkle, sass, and sexy fun as performers from all over the world descend on the Windy City to strut their stuff. This year's headliners are New York City's Tigger!, Vancouver's Lola Frost, and St. Louis's Lola Van Ella. Tiffany Carter of Las Vegas returns to grace the stage as this year's WCBF Legend. Our featured performers are Coco Lectric (Austin), Melody Mangler (Vancouver), Jolie Goodnight (Austin), Po'Chop (Chicago), Ray Ray Sunshine (Chicago), Tila Von Twirl (Chicago), and Bazooka Joe (Chicago).

We'll start with a world-class opening night party where you can get your first glamour fix at your favorite price point: free! You'll get a chance to meet and mingle with the lovely ladies and dashing gents who will hit the stage this year, while getting a special preview show at the same time.

And that's just the beginning.

Thursday through Saturday, we take over Stage 773 for six sensational shows featuring burlesque and variety acts. WCBF proudly celebrates diversity of performers, styles, body types, sexual identities, and topics. Showcasing talent from all over the world, this year's fest will continue to cement Chicago's standing as a premiere burlesque destination.

As always, if the burlesque bug bites you during the fest, we'll be having our trademark classes and workshops on June 13th. Whether you're a daisy-fresh newbie or a seasoned pro, our workshops offer you a fun opportunity to learn from the best!

This year's festival, in addition to the usual fabulous vending, boasts a new commemorative item: a Cats Explain Burlesque Calendar. This adorably audacious calendar spans the year festival-to-festival, July 2015-June 2016. In addition to felines flaunting their stuff as boylesque acts, legends, classics, and more, the calendar includes next year's festival submission deadlines and dates.
