WHRU-LP Welcomes Broadway's Nathaniel Stampley Next Week Image

Broadway star Nathaniel Stampley will be the guest on the Monday, July, 31, 2017 episode of radio show It's Showtime with Rikki Lee airing on Huntley, IL-based station 101.5 WHRU-LP and streaming at www.HuntleyRadio.com. The interview airs and streams Monday at 7:30 PM Central.

Stampley is a Broadway veteran of such landmark productions as The Color Purple, The Gershwins' Porgy and Bess, and The Lion King. He is currently in Chicago appearing in The Bridges of Madison County at Marriott Theatre in Lincolnshire. He won a Joseph Jefferson Award for his portrayal of Don Quixote in Marriott's Man of La Mancha.

"We are thrilled to have Nathaniel Stampley on the show. I've witnessed his performing in person and it's breathtaking," states show host Rikki Lee Travolta. "However, what really made me want to have Nathaniel on the show was when I witnessed him with audience members after a performance of The Bridges of Madison County. He was so genuine and appreciative of everyone who wanted to talk to him. He took the time to makes sure he had a chance to sincerely connect with each and every one there."

Travolta's interview with Stampley will explore his current role as Robert Kincaid in Marriott Theatre's regional premier of the musical The Bridges of Madison County. The interview will also check in on Stampley's early career, Broadway and West End roles, and ties to the Chicago and Milwaukee areas.

It's Showtime with Rikki Lee is an entertaining and educational half hour radio show showcasing stage film, and television musicals. Host Travolta has appeared in, directed, and choreographed musical productions throughout the country.

"We're on a small station, but thanks to Internet streaming and podcasts we can be heard around the world," states Travolta.
