Village Players Theatre Presents POSTHUMOROUS 11/13
Village Players Theatre is excited to present "Posthumorous", a special event in the intimate studio space. "Posthumorous" is a comedy written by Michael Flanagan and directed by Mary Scherer-Emunds. The show opens on Friday, November 13 2009 at 7:30pm.
Dexter Twain has planned a funeral of discovery for his friends in rural Minnesota. His death has left a lot of questions that need to be answered, and many answers left in fortune cookies. As Dexter meets up with his parents and other friends in the afterlife, it turns out he has a lot to discover himself as his funeral approaches. This comedy, with its hilarious twists and turns, will be sure to keep audience members laughing.
The cast includes Paul Chakrin, Danon Dastugue, Jonathan Franklin, Dale Glanzman, Amy Malouf, Jolaine Orlin, Maryann Romano and JoEl Thompson. Whitney Powell stage manages this production, and Jeanne Petruzzelli is the Costume Designer.
"Posthumorous" previews on Thursday, November 12th, at 7:30. It opens Friday, November 13th and closes Sunday, November 22nd 2009. It plays on Fridays and Saturdays at 7:30pm and Sundays at 2:30pm. Tickets are $20, seniors 65 and over and students with a valid I.D. are $16. Group rates are available for parties of six or more. All performances will be found at the Village Players Performing Arts Center, 1010 Madison St., Oak Park. The theater is near the Harlem exit of I-290 and is also accessible by the CTA Green and Blue lines. Plenty of parking is available on the street.
