Trap Door Theatre Presents the American Premiere of Howard Barker's MINNA, 1/2-2/13

By:

The Trap Door Theatre presents the American premiere of 'Minna', Howard Barker's ferociously sardonic view of war and sexual politics. The show runs from January 2 - February 13.

The play is set in a mythical world that swings between the 18th Century and the 1950's. Minna Von Barnhelm is the light and airy heroine of Lessing's Enlightenment-era comedy, but in Barker's nightmarish world, her single-minded pursuit of atrocity compels her to commit atrocity herself. The play is directed by Nicole Wiesner.

The cast includes: Kevin Cox, Gary Damico, Geraldine Dulex, John Gray, David Holcombe, John Kahara, Amber Lageman, Pamela Maurer, Kinga Modjeska, Sadie Rogers, Derek Ryan and Carl Wisniewski

Assistant Director: Carolyn Hoerdemann. Sound Designer: Jonathan Guillen. Lighting Designer: Richard Norwood. Set Designer: Ewelina Dobiesz. Stage Manager: Barry Phillip. Costume Designer: Beata Pilch. Graphic Designer: Michal Janicki.

'Minna' plays from January 2- February 13, 2010. Runs are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8PM. Tickets are $20 (2-for-1 on Thursdays). The Trap Door Theatre is located at 1655 W. Cortdland Avenue, in Chicago.
