Theo Ubique Theatre Company Celebrates Their Seven Joseph Jefferson Awards
Theo Ubique Theatre Co. heartily thanks the Joseph Jefferson Awards Committee for recognizing Theo Ubique Theatre Company's excellence in theatre through the 2008-2009 season at the 36th Joseph Jefferson Awards Ceremony.
Theo Ubique's production of EVITA garnered the most awards of any production, totaling six, including the award for Outstanding Production of a Musical or Revue, Director of Musical or Revue (Fred Anzevino), Music Director (Ryan Brewster), Choreography (Brenda Didier), Principal Actor in a Musical or Revue (Chris Damiano), Principal Actress in a Musical or Revue (Maggie Portman).
In addition to the numerous nominations received for Theo Ubique Theatre Company's outstanding production of Jacques Brel's Lonesome Losers of the Night, Chris Damiano was also awarded a Jeff Award for Supporting Actor in a Musical Revue for his work in the summer of 2008 hit music revue. Theo Ubique congratulates all the winners in all 24 categories, especially the winners associated with the now eminent fame of the Glenwood Arts District which laid claim to 11 of the 26 awards presented at the 36th Awards Ceremony.
