The Greenhouse Theatre Presents a Reading of Miller's AN ENEMY OF THE PEOPLE, Aug. 7
By: Jessikah Hackett
Arthur Miller's 1950 adaptation of Henrik Ibsen's 1882 play An Enemy of the People explores personal and political issues that resonate in both playwrights' worlds, with a brave central character against corrupt and hypocritical political systems and social intolerance. The themes of this play surface throughout Miller's canon and life, most significantly in his struggles with McCarthyism and the House Un-American Activities Committee.
Directed by Ensemble member Sarah Moeller & featuring Ensemble member Stephen Dale & guest artists Eustace Allen, Alex Brown, James Holbrook, Kevin Kenneally, Chad Ramsey & Katherine Swan.
