The Doo Wop Project brings "A Doo Wop Christmas Show" to the McAninch Arts Center, located at 425 Fawell Blvd. on the campus of College of DuPage Friday, Dec. 7 at 7:30 p.m. The Doo Wop Project, with multiple members who have appeared in the Broadway hits "Jersey Boys" and "Motown: The Musical", brings unparalleled sound and vocal authenticity to recreate a classic era in American music that has inspired generations.

The six-member Doo Wop Project traces the evolution of Doo Wop and takes audiences on a journey from foundational groups like the Crests, Belmonts and Flamingos, The Temptations and The Four Seasons. The show also reimagines what modern music from Michael Jackson, Jason Mraz and Maroon 5 might have sounded like in the Doo Wop era.

Dominic Scaglione most recently starred as Frankie Valli in "Jersey Boys" on an eight-year run on Broadway. Scaglione has performed on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" and was personally asked by Frankie Valli to perform at his New Jersey Hall of Fame induction ceremony.

Charl Brown originated the role of Smokey Robinson in "Motown: The Musical," for which he was nominated for the 2013 Tony Award for Best Featured Actor in a Musical on Broadway. He is also featured on the Grammy-nominated Original Broadway Cast recording.

Russell Fischer starred as Joe Pesci alongside Scaglione in "Jersey Boys" on Broadway, while also serving as the understudy for Frankie Valli for six years. Fischer has starred in "Big: The Musical," as well as making numerous appearances on live television.

Dwayne Cooper has been hailed in the industry as a "triple threat" and performed in the Broadway casts of "Motown: The Musical," "Hairspray" and several other national tours. He has also been featured on multiple television shows.

Dominic Nolfi is currently starring on Broadway in "A Bronx Tale - The Musical." Nolfi was an original cast member of both the Grammy-winning "Jersey Boys" soundtrack and the Grammy-nominated "Motown: The Musical" soundtrack.

The show's producer and music director is Broadway Veteran Sonny Paladino, who has worked on numerous Broadway projects including "Jesus Christ Superstar;" "Billy Elliot;" "Priscilla, Queen of the Desert"; "Mama Mia" and "The Addams Family," among many others.

Tickets are $50-$60. For tickets and more information, visit AtTheMAC.org or call 630.942.4000. VIP Suite Service is available for an additional cost of an additional $30 per person and includes a private, pre-show cocktail and hors d'oeuvres reception, followed by coffee and dessert at intermission.
