THE ADDAMS FAMILY, AVENUE Q & More Set for BrightSide Theatre 2026-27 Season

BrightSide Theatre has announced its 2026-27 season, marking the company’s 15th year of professional theatre productions in Naperville. The four-show season will include three musicals and one play presented at Meiley-Swallow Hall and the Madden Theatre.

The season opens in October with THE ADDAMS FAMILY, directed by De Haddad with music direction by Phil Videckis and choreography by Shane Brown. The musical, based on the characters created by Charles Addams, follows Wednesday Addams as she introduces her “normal” boyfriend and his family to the Addams household.

Following the holiday season, BrightSide will present THE SECRET GARDEN IN CONCERT, directed by Artistic Director Jeffrey Cass with music direction by Phil Videckis. Based on the novel by Frances Hodgson Burnett, the musical tells the story of Mary Lennox and her discovery of a hidden garden while living with relatives in Yorkshire.

Madden Theatre

The third production of the season will be Ken Ludwig'S BASKERVILLE: A SHERLOCK HOLMES MYSTERY, directed by Jason Harrington. The comedy adaptation of The Hound of the Baskervilles features five actors portraying more than 40 characters.

The season concludes with AVENUE Q, directed by Jeffrey Cass with music direction by Phil Videckis. The Tony Award-winning musical combines puppetry and live actors in a comedy about young adults navigating life in New York City.

Season subscriptions and single tickets will go on sale July 1. Tickets are priced at $37 for adults and $32 for students and seniors.
