Steppenwolf Extends GOOD PEOPLE Through 11/17

By popular demand, Steppenwolf Theatre Company extends the season opener, Good People by Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire, directed by ensemble member K. Todd Freeman. This "Four Star" (Chicago Tribune), "Highly Recommended" (Chicago-Sun-Times) production continues for five additional performances, through November 17, with the original cast of six intact. Tickets to the additional performances of Good People ($20 – $86) go on sale today, October 17 at 11am through Audience Services (1650 N Halsted), at 312-335-1650 or at steppenwolf.org.

When Margie Walsh loses her job at a South Boston dollar store, she reaches out to old flame Mike, a Southie boy who left the neighborhood and became a successful doctor. Margie's attempt to hit Mike up for a job takes on a threatening cast when she realizes the power a secret from Mike's past holds. From Pulitzer Prize-winner David Lindsay-Abaire, Good People looks at the dangerous consequences of choosing to hold on to the past or leaving it behind.

The cast of Good People features ensemble members Alana Arenas, Mariann Mayberry and Molly Regan with Will Allan, Keith Kupferer and Lusia Strus. The production team includes: Walt Spangler (scenic design), Nan Cibula-Jenkins (costume design), Kevin Rigdon (lighting design), and Rob Milburn and Michael Bodeen (sound design and original music).
