Sketch writing duo Jim & Melissa are pleased to present their fifth original sketch revue, BLOODLUST, directed by Mary Catherine Curran, playing Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays October 19 - 28, 2017 at iO Chicago, 1501 N Kingsbury Street. Tickets are available at www.iOimprov.com The press opening is Thursday, October 19 at 10pm.

BLOODLUST is written and performed by Reilly Willson and Shelby Quinn.

An homage to all things horror and Halloween, BLOODLUST embraces lore and gore in a campy original sketch revue. See what freaks the full moon brings out, discover the consequences of eating too much halloween candy, admit that you've always wanted to fang bang a Vampire and satiate your lust for the macabre. Come indulge in sin with Jim & Melissa this Halloween.

ABOUT THE CREATIVE TEAM

Reilly Willson (Writer / Performer):

A Maryland native, Reilly has been acting and writing in Chicago since 2013. He is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and a previous member of iO Harold teams Maximum, Blood! and Water from the Moon. He wrote and directed the short film Coffee that is scheduled for release this fall. He can be seen in Striking Out: A Gay Baseball Musical (The Annoyance) and the upcoming Iggy and Bowie in Berlin (The Annoyance).

Shelby Quinn (Writer / Performer):

Originally from Los Angeles, Shelby grew up terrified of alien invasions and fascinated by cults. In addition to Jim & Melissa, Shelby collaborated on projects with PIGEON, 3 Day Weekend, and is currently graduating from the Second City Conservatory Program. Additionally, she improvises with the Little Oprahs at iO Chicago and indie improv duo FURBABY. Currently, you can watch Shelby perform at Annoyance as Coach in Striking Out: A Gay Baseball Musical. Recent credits include FREAKY NASTY TRASH (Stage 773, Portfringe), Where All The White Sneakers At? Mary Catherine Curran (Director):

Mary Catherine hails from Maryland where she studied Theatre Performance at the University of Maryland, College Park. She is a graduate of the Second City Conservatory and iO Training Center. She currently teaches and performs at iO Chicago (currently Virgin Daiquiri, Lil Tooties, Glass Basement); she also teaches, writes, and has performs at the Annoyance Theater (currently Shebeast, Trigger Happy, Striking Out, Shark Tank: The Musical). She has written and performed 3 solo shows, "Nimrod" (Public House), "Hideous" (Annoyance), and "One Woman Space Jam" (iO); and her directing credits include "Guppie" (iO), "Unwell" (The Crowd Theater), and "When the Fog Begins to Lift" (Annoyance). She also performed for the Second City in their House Ensemble and aboard the NCL Breakaway.

Jim & Melissa:

Reilly Willson and Shelby Quinn are 'Jim & Melissa.' Since forming in 2016, the duo have written, produced and performed in five unique sketch revues, two short films and three comedy music videos. On tour, Jim & Melissa won the 'Miss Congeniality' and '#ThisIsFringe,' awards at the 2017 Portfringe Fest in Portland, Maine for FREAKY NASTY TRASH. Other credits include The Gun Show (Second City Training Center, MCL), High & Mighty (iO Chicago, The Annoyance), Jim & Melissa Save Christmas (And Chanukah, Too) (Stage 773), and FREAKY NASTY TRASH (Stage 773, Geno's Rock Club). Jim & Melissa additionally showcased at the 2016 Highlarious Comedy Festival in Seattle, the 2017 Miami Improv Festival, 2017 Austin Sketchfest, and Out of Bounds 2017, and will perform in the upcoming 2017 New York Sketchfest, and Chicago Invasion in New Orleans in 2018.
