Second City Opens 'BROTHER, CAN YOU SPARE SOME CHANGE?' 12/7

The Second City e.t.c. opens its 32nd revue Brother, Can You Spare Some Change?, on Sunday, December 7, 2008 at 7:00pm at The Second City e.t.c. Theatre (1608 North Wells Street, 2nd Floor of Piper's Alley).

As the national election coverage subsides and the mysterious promise of change lingers before us, our focus returns to our own uncertain little worlds. Under the direction of Bruce Pirrie, Facebook, interracial child rearing, and the great opera of Chicago-style politics take the stage in Brother, Can You Spare Some Change?

The cast of Brother, Can You Spare Some Change? includes Christina Anthony, Amanda Blake Davis, Tom Flanigan, Laura Grey, Timothy Edward Mason and Andy St. Clair. Michael Descoteaux is Musical Director and Joseph Ruffner is Stage Manager. Set Designer is Camellia Koo and Stylist is Clare Kelly.

The Second City Mainstage opens its 96th revue America: All Better!, on Sunday, December 14, 2008 at 7:00pm at The Second City Mainstage Theatre (1616 N. Wells Street).

Its official - the United States is moving forward. We have a new President taking office, sweeping international economic crisis, and the effects of global warming all around us. It's time to fire up the Rahminator and transplant a little Midwestern charm to Washington making America: All Better!

Directed by Matt Hovde, the cast of America: All Better! includes Lauren Ash, Joe Canale, Shelly Gossman, Anthony LeBlanc, Brad Morris, Michael Patrick O'Brien and Emily Wilson. Ruby Streak is Musical Director and Craig Taylor is Stage Manager. Set Designer is Camellia Koo and Stylist is Logan Vaughn.

The producing team for both shows includes Proprietor and Executive Producer for The Second City Andrew Alexander; Vice President of The Second City, Kelly Leonard; and Co-Producers Robin Hammond and Alison Riley.
