Salsation Theatre Company to Celebrate 15th Anniversary with S15: OUR BIG FAT QUINCEANERA

Salsation Theatre Company, NFP, Chicago's longest-running Latino comedy troupe, is excited to celebrate it's 15th anniversary at the Gorilla Tango Theater with S15: Our Big Fat Quinceañera(S15). After a successful run with Teatro Vista's Late Nite Teatro Vista (LNTV) featuring Salsation's improvised mariachi band Los Improviachis along with theirImprovised Telenovela troupe, S15 is the culminating event of anniversary shows featuring over 20 scenes that represent the best of Salsation's sketch canon.

S15's cast features actors from Salsation's past, present, and future. "As one of the company's founders, I'm so proud to be a part of celebrating this milestone in Salsation's history. We're excited to have [Jeff-nominated actor] Juan Villa in the show as he helps bring some of the magic of the old days of Salsation to a new generation," said Ramon Charriez, Jr - a founding member of the company.

When asked about the show, director Karla Estela Rivera says, "It's such an honor to direct such an special show for Salsation. This process has been a true collaboration between the cast, production team, and myself. This show is a great way for loyal fans to see their favorite pieces and for a new audiences to see Salsation's greatest hits!"

S15: Our Big Fat Quinceñera will be performing on Friday, October 18th and 25th at the Gorilla Tango Theater's Bucktown location at 1919 N. Milwaukee Ave. in Chicago. Tickets are $15. Audience members are encouraged to wear their best quinceañera-inspired outfit. It is a party, after all!
