Highland Park Players present the laugh-out-loud Tony Award winning musical, AVENUE Q, which is part flesh, part felt and packed with heart. AVENUE Q will be performed at the Northbrook Theatre, 3323 Walters Avenue, now through October 25th. The cast of the show recently appeared on WCIU and performed "I Wish I Could Go Back to College" - check it out below!

Who is AVENUE Q appropriate for? Adults love AVENUE Q, but they seem a little, how do we say it, fuzzy on whether it's appropriate for kids. We'll try to clear that up. AVENUE Q is great for teenagers because it's about real life. It may not be appropriate for young children because AVENUE Q addresses issues like sex, drinking, and surfing the web for porn. It's hard to say what exact age is right to see AVENUE Q- parents should use their discretion based on the maturity level of their children, but we promise you this, if you DO bring your teenagers to AVENUE Q they'll think you're really cool!

The cast includes - David Geinosky (Elk Grove), Justine Klein (Chicago), Aaron Stash (Northbrook), Brad Kisner (Chicago), Terry McEnroe (Chicago), Hannah Rose (Highland Park), Aaron Miller (Vernon Hills), Angela Carrington (Wheeling), Ashley Foreman (Round Lake Heights), Heidi Hansfield (Chicago), Greg Pearson (Chicago) and Bob Spidale (Addison).

With a production staff features: Bradley A. Rose- Executive Producer (Highland Park), Catherine Davis- Director (Northbrook), Ken Preuss- Music Director (Rolling Meadows), Alexis Armstrong- Choreographer (Glencoe), Rachel Christianson- Puppet Director (Chicago), Daniel Dempsey- Puppet Director (Chicago), David Erck- Set Designer (Northbrook) and Liz Swenk- Stage Manager (Wilmette).

Performances are: October 16, 17, 22, 23, 24 at 8:00 pm, October 17, 24 at 4:00 pm and October 18, 25 at 2:00 pm. All tickets are $22 on/after October 1st. To purchase tickets, go to www.highlandparkplayers.com or call the Northbrook Theatre at 847-291-2995.
