Red Theater Chicago & Oracle to Stage World Premiere of R+J: THE VINEYARD
Oracle Productions is proud to partner with Red Theater Chicago to announce the opening of R+J: THE VINEYARD. This 90 minute adaptation of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet will feature many artists who are deaf, hard of hearing, and ASL interpreters. Led by Artistic Director Aaron Sawyer and co-adapter Janette Bauer, Red Theater worked with Sign Master Crom Saunders and a team of artists who helped translate Shakespeare's poetry into American Sign Language. This beautiful and physical production is both spoken and signed, and it is intended for all audiences. R+J: THE VINEYARD opens October 24, 2015, and runs through November 21, 2015 at Oracle Theatre, 3809 N Broadway in Chicago. Performances are Friday, Saturday, and Monday nights at 8PM; Sundays at 7PM. Press are invited to attend on October 24 - or any night during the run.
Admission is FREE to all performances. Reservations are strongly recommended. All performances are wheelchair accessible and will feature Open Captioning. Visit publicaccesstheatre.org for information.
