Ravinia Festival today announced the launch of its first internet radio station called "Ravinia Radio." A partnership with Chicago-based internet company AccuRadio.com, Ravinia Radio will feature dozens of musical artists from North America's oldest summer music festival featured during the 2010 season, as well as classical music compositions performed at Ravinia this summer. Listeners can find this free online station at raviniaradio.org, which is available 24 hours a day. Artists and repertoire from previous years will also be added.

All Ravinia Radio channels can be personalized, enabling the listener to pause and skip songs or customize artists on their station's playlist. Radio fans can also select radio subcategories such as only classical or pop, rock, Broadway and jazz channels.

Listeners can tune in via the AccuRadio app for iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad, available at the iTunes app store, and the corresponding app for the Palm webOS operating system. Both apps support multitasking, and users can bookmark Ravinia channels as "favorites" for quick and easy access.

AccuRadio is one of the world's leading personalizable internet radio stations, reaching over 400,000 unique listeners worldwide per month with its 480+ channels of rock, pop, classical, jazz, country, Broadway and more.

Ravinia Festival is a not-for-profit organization. For more information, please visit ravinia.org.
