Random Acts Welcomes Alexandra Alontaga as New Company Manager

Random Acts, the micro-budget theatre company behind the recent smash-hit STRANGEST THINGS! THE MUSICAL, welcomes Alexandra Alontaga as Company Manager. Alontaga, who has recently worked with Munroe Park Theatre Guild, Latitude 41, Joliet Drama Guild and Summer Place Theatre, hails from the southwest suburbs and joins Random Acts after originating the role of Eleven in STRANGEST THINGS!. She begins her new role with Random Acts effective immediately.

"Alexandra is a thorough, dedicated, passionate artist and I couldn't be more pleased to bring her on to our team," shares Artistic Director Bryan Renaud.

As Company Manager, Alexandra Alontaga will lead the energetic team of artistic associates that Random Acts has assembled since launching in 2015. Associates include Tommy Rivera-Vega, Ayssette Muñoz, Nora Lise Ulrey, Rasell Holt, Ben F. Locke, Shannon Webber, Ali Bailey, Chelsea Milligan, Lucy Chmielewski, Becca Russo and new addition Colleen DeRosa.

DeRosa originated the role of Dustin in STRANGEST THINGS! after appearing in Random Acts' Chicago premiere Awkward Family Gatherings. Other Chicago credits include work with Other Theatre, The Chicago Musical Theatre Festival, Haven, and American Theater Company.

Random Acts invites fans and friends alike to join in celebrating this announcement at Galway Arms (2442 N Clark St, Chicago) tonight, Monday, August 2. At 8pm, the company presents the first-ever reading of a new play, entitled "Slack," written by the Texas-based writer Caitlin Turnage. Following the hour-long performance, the Random Acts associates will participate in drinks and conversation. The event is free, with a $5 suggested donation.
