Pivot Arts' annual tradition features a cabaret-style showcase celebrating sadness through performances of stories and songs that are often heartbreakingly hilarious. Hosted by actor, singer and clown Molly Brennan, who recently appeared in Lookingglass Alice, the evening includes a story contest by premier writers including Sophie Blumberg, Isaac Gomez, Chris Green, Bonnie Metzgar, Martin Zimmerman and spoken word artist, Nikki Patin.

Pivot Arts is a home for innovative music, theater and dance on Chicago's far north side. They develop new work and present unique performances throughout the year culminating in a multi-arts festival. Their vision is that of a vibrant community where unique collaborations between artists, businesses and organizations leads to the support and creation of innovative performance events.
