Attic Playhouse is set to present Norm Foster's The Affections of May. The show runs from September 11 - October 18.
Performances are on Fridays & Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 3 p.m..
Tickets cost $20 advanced purchase / $22 door. There is a special discounts for: senior citizens (age 65+), students (age 21 & younger), active duty military and Groups of 20 or more. General admission - reserved seating for groups of 20 or more. Tickets are non-refundable.
May and her husband Brian have opened a bed-and-breakfast in a quaint seaside resort to get away from it all. But the rustic life proves too tedious for Brian, who misses the city…and his mistress. May, left to fend for herself, soon finds help in Quinn (a wayward local handyman) and Hank (the lonely town banker). May unwittingly becomes entangled in a hilarious romantic triangle and the center of attention in this small resort town. A delightful, feel-good romantic comedy! The most produced play in Canada in 1991…and the Illinois Premiere!

"The Affections Of May" was first produced at Theatre New Brunswick in Fredericton New Brunswick, Canada in October of 1990. It subsequently became the most produced play in Canada in 1991. Norm Foster's plays have been widely produced all around the world. He is commonly known as Canada's most prolific and popular playwright with nearly forty plays and musicals to his name. After having produced Norm Foster's other hit comedy "Drinking Alone" last season, Attic Playhouse is excited to bring his fresh, humorous and often touching blend of comedy back to the Attic stage. This play will start off their 12th Season and is their 55th main-stage production!
