Captivating audiences for nearly 200 years, The Nutcracker is the story of a young girl named Marie and her unusual Christmas gift. When Marie receives a beautiful Nutcracker on Christmas Eve from her mysterious Uncle Drosselmeyer, she awakens in the middle of the night to find that her nutcracker has come to life. Unfortunately, other toys have come to life as well, including the evil Mouse King. The Mouse King has stolen the powerful magic crown which has the ability to turn the wearer into a human boy. It will take Marie and a team of kind-hearted toys to reach the Sugar Plum Fairy before the wicked Mouse King.This holiday musical is perfect for all ages and celebrates friendship and the beauty of the holiday spirit. The tale is enhanced by the exhilarating music of Tchaikovsky, along with additional music and lyrics by Marc Robin.
