Original SIX Queens Adrianna Hicks, Samantha Pauly and More Join ROYAL REUNION Benefit In Chicago
The benefit concert at The Fairlie features Adrianna Hicks, Brittney Mack, and Anna Uzele supporting ICA youth scholarships.
Illinois Conservatory for the Arts (ICA), a non-profit arts education institution in the Western suburbs, hosts a one-night-only benefit concert celebrating the music, legacy, and original stars of the Broadway phenomenon Six. Marking the six-year anniversary of the show's transfer to Broadway in 2020 The Royal Reunion: Celebrating Six Years of Six will reunite the original queens and the original band for an evening of performances in an intimate Chicago venue.
Six, a pop musical featuring the six wives of Henry VIII, had its pre-Broadway run at Chicago Shakespeare Theater making Chicago the perfect city for this reunion.
Six of the original Broadway queens will perform at this event Adrianna Hicks (Catherine of Aragon), Andrea Macasaet (Anne Boleyn), Keirsten Hodgens (Jane Seymour, Anna of Cleves, Catherine Parr alternate), Brittney Mack (Anna of Cleves), Samantha Pauly (Katherine Howard), and Anna Uzele (Catherine Parr).
The all-female live band will be led by original Broadway music director Julia Schade featuring original band members Kimi Hayes (guitar), Elena Bonomo (drums), and Stacy McMichael (bass).
The queens will perform some of their favorite songs from Broadway and beyond and the evening will culminate in an explosive performance of the finale from Six. The program (subject to change) includes Andrea Macasaet performing “Out Tonight” (Rent) and “That's Life” (Joker film); Keirsten Hodgens performing “She Used to Be Mine” (Waitress) and “Don't Rain on My Parade” (Funny Girl) in a duet with Brittney Mack; Brittney Mack performing “Proud Mary” (Tina) and “Meadowlark” (The Baker's Wife): and Adrianna Hicks performing “Spark of Creation” (Children of Eden) and “Maybe This Time” (Cabaret).
“Fans of the musical Six know that the band is an important onstage part of the show.” said ICA Executive Director Dylan Ladd. “This evening was already going to be incredible, but by adding the original Broadway music director and band to the mix, the evening will truly be a reunion of all the onstage talent from the original Broadway run. The shared history and shared artistry of all these incredibly talented women is going to make for an electric, not-to-be-missed night.”
Standard tickets include valet parking, an open bar, and access to an after party with the performers with special reserved concert seating for VIP ticket holders. Tickets are also available for access to a livestream of the event for audiences unable to attend the concert in person.
Proceeds from the event will support ICA's mission of providing high-level arts education to Chicagoland youth. The Royal Reunion is Monday, June 22 at 7:30 PM at The Fairlie 339 N Bell Ave. in Chicago's West Loop. Tickets are available at ilconservatory.org/concert.
