Olivia Dvorak Comes to Raue Center, 4/14 Raue Center For The Arts is thrilled to welcome a rising star in the country music scene to the stage! Olivia Dvorak will bring her thought-provoking, creative lyrics and intricate guitar playing to Raue Center at 8 p.m. on April 14, 2018.

"It is exciting to bring a musician of Olivia's caliber to our beautiful Raue Center stage," says Raue Center Board of Directors President, Tim Paul. "Her unique style of country music includes pop, blues, folk and rock, showing her versatility and talent for both songwriting and performing."

Dvorak is a songwriter and artist whose unique talent led her to professionally record her debut album, "Don't Come Knockin,'" at Nashville's Treasure Isle Recorders in 2013 with some of the top musicians in the city. Dvorak then began to build a full-time career as a musician, playing coffee shops, bars, private parties and weddings while developing her skills.

In 2015, Dvorak received an opportunity that would change the course of her career, taking the stage to directly open for country's original female star, Loretta Lynn. Since then, Dvorak has supported some of the largest acts in country music, including Trace Adkins, Scotty McCreery, Jana Kramer, Mo Pitney, Fran Cosmo, Nitty Gritty Dirt Band and The Band Perry.

Along her journey of entertaining, Dvorak has performed in iconic theaters, ballrooms and concert halls and last summer she was booked as a main stage artist at one of the largest country music festivals in the Midwest. In addition to these high stature performances, Dvorak has won multiple Rockford Area Music Industry Awards for Artist of the Year, Country/Bluegrass and Song of the Year.

Dvorak's country style pours into genres including as blues, folk rock and Celtic. Her diversity appeals to audiences of all ages and the energy the young singer-songwriter brings to the stage thrills every crowds across the country. Along with her unique songs and intricate guitar playing, Dvorak creates rhythms on her looper pedal for the effect of a one-person band.

"Olivia brings the sound, talent and energy that is synonymous with Nashville," says Raue Center Board of Directors Chairman Emeritus, Chuck Stevens. "She is sure to put on a great show at Raue Center!"

Like Lucy's Comedy and Dueling Pianos, Dvorak will perform on Raue Center's mainstage with intimate seating in a jazz club atmosphere. Tickets start at $10 ($15 at the door) and can be purchased online at rauecenter.org or via the Box Office at 815.356.9212 or at 26 N. Williams Street in downtown Crystal Lake.
