Northlight Theatre Continues 2016-17 Season with the World Premiere of FACELESS

By:

Northlight Theatre, under the direction of Artistic Director BJ Jones and Executive Director Timothy J. Evans, presents the World Premiere of Faceless, written by Selina Fillinger and directed by BJ Jones, runs January 26 - March 4, 2017 at Northlight Theatre, 9501 Skokie Blvd in Skokie. Visit northlight.org for more information.

Eighteen-year-old Susie Glenn is on trial for conspiring to commit acts of terrorism. Reeling from her mother's recent death, Susie may be a scared teen searching for answers... or a threat to national security. With a female Muslim lawyer as the face of the prosecution, perspectives shift from one moment to the next in this riveting and timely new drama.

Morals, motives and matters of faith all come into question in this world premiere from a new playwright - the two-time winner of the Agnes Nixon Playwriting Festival and the recipient of the first annual Judith Barlow Prize.

The cast of Faceless includes Joe Dempsey (Alan Glenn), Susaan Jamshidi (Claire Fathi), Timothy Edward Kane (Scott Bader), Ross Lehman (Mark Ahrenberg) and Lindsay Stock (Susie Glenn).

The creative team includes John Culbert (Set Design), Izumi Inaba (Costume Design), Heather Gilbert (Lighting Design), Andre Pluess (Sound Design), and Stephan Mazurek (Projection Design). The stage manager is Rita Vreeland.

Northlight Theatre aspires to promote change of perspective and encourage compassion by exploring the depth of our humanity across a bold spectrum of theatrical experiences, reflecting our community to the world and the world to our community.
