With book and lyrics by Sean Grennan and music by Leah Okimoto, Married Alive! celebrates the marital bliss of lovebirds Erin and Paul - not to mention the trials, tribulations, and defeats a naïve couple experiences as a new couple. This intimate musical comedy follows two married couples - one newlywed and one seasoned couple - through the ups and downs of modern marriage. Originally titled From Niagara to Viagra, the musical shows the triumphs and defeats of marriage, from new babies and empty nests to job stress and wedded bliss.

Featuring four actors and a piano duo, couples can easily identify with this musical, and also be reminded that its okay to laugh at themselves.

"Much like our recent hit I Love You, You're Perfect, Now Change!, this modern-day musical is sure to hit home with many couples here in the Fox Valley area. We all need a good laugh, and if you've ever been in a relationship, you'll definitely find these hilarious and sometimes moving situations relatable," says Artistic Director John Gawlik.

Director and Choreographer Rachel Rockwell joins the Noble Fool Theatricals team after her critic-acclaimed success with The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee at Marriott Theatre and Miss Saigon at Drury Lane Oakbrook. Last seen at Noble Fool for her choreography in Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical, her most recent successes include Les Miserables (associate), Nunsense, Disney's High School Musical and Seussical at the Marriott Theatre, John and Jen at Apple Tree Theater, The Wizard of Oz at Drury Lane Oakbrook and You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown! at Drury Lane Water Tower Place. Jeff nominations include her choreography in Marriott Theatre's The King and I, as well as her roles in The Pajama Game and And The World Goes Round!

Rockwell has selected a dynamic cast, featuring (in alphabetical order): Justin Berkobian (recently as Buddy in Drury Lane's The Buddy Holly Story and John Truitt (opposite Megan Long, downtown) in Meet Me In St Louis, Anne Gunn (previously in Noble Fool Theatricals' Mid-Life! The Crisis Musical as well as numerous Marriott and Drury Lane Theatre productions), St. Charles resident and Broadway actor Matthew R. Jones (previously in Pheasant Run Dinner Theatre's Evita and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat), and Megan Long (recently named one of "Chicago's Rising Stars" of 2009 by Chris Jones of Chicago Tribune).

Married Alive! opens on Wednesday, August 19, 2009 and runs through Saturday, October 31, 2009. Show times are Thursday and Friday at 8 p.m.; Saturdays at 5 p.m. and 8:30 p.m.; Sundays at 2 p.m. A matinee performance is available on Thursday, September 3 at 2 p.m. The only Wednesday performance is August 19, 2009 at 8 p.m. There are no Thursday performances in October.
