Noble Fool Theatricals, the premier professional theater in the Fox Valley area, is putting on its inaugural Masquerade Ball that will support the students in their Performing Arts Academy. Current and former students who have benefitted from training at the Academy are excited to provide some of the entertainment for the evening.

In celebration of all the Academy does to help young performers blossom, entertainment will include songs from past NFT Youth Ensemble shows High School Musical 2, Beauty & The Beast and Sleeping Beauty, as well from the upcoming production of Alice in Wonderland. Local students performing are Katie Brazier (Sharpay in HSM2) of Carol Stream; Bianca Minniti (Gabriella in HSM & HSM2) of Darien; Connor Colbert (Ryan in HSM2) and Tyler Vaughn (Troy in HSM2), both of Geneva; Abby Stombres (Alice in Alice in Wonderland) and Gabriella Marzetta (Belle in Beauty & The Beast), both of St. Charles and Sydney Poss (Maleficent in Sleeping Beauty) of North Aurora.

Many students have never been on stage before joining the academy and credit their experiences there with helping them become better performers. "I have been fortunate to work with some amazing directors and choreographers," says Katie Brazier. "They have taught me so much about the theater and have really helped me grow as a performer."

"The teachers The teachers who work at NFT are the greatest. They are extremely professional and passionate about what they do. I don't know anyone on the staff that I don't look up to and respect. NFT was a great place for me to start and I owe a lot of the confidence I've gained in my career to their program."who work at NFT are the greatest. They are extremely professional and passionate about what they do. I don't know anyone on the staff that I don't look up to and respect," says Tyler Vaughn, now a sophomore studying theatre at Columbia College. "NFT was a great place for me to start and I owe a lot of the confidence I've gained in my career to their program."

In addition to great entertainment, there will be some exciting silent auction items and raffle prizes. One of the most talked about auction items is the Disney World package, including round trip airfare and tickets to the parks. Other items include an Alice in Wonderland family package for 4 (with tickets and overnight accommodations at Pheasant Run Resort), jewelry from State Street Jewelers in Geneva and a sports memorabilia package including an autographed 8x10 of Mark Buehrle throwing the last pitch of his perfect game.

According to student Gabriella Marzetta, "People should come to the Masquerade Ball because NFT helps people grow in so many ways. And a great way to help NFT to keep doing so is to buy a ticket and enjoy an awesome night of food, fun, and entertainment!"

The Masquerade Ball will be held on October 22nd in the New Orleans Ballroom at Pheasant Run Resort from 6-10pm. There will be dinner, music, and family fun as well as the entertainment, raffle and silent auction. Ticket prices are $60 for adults and $30 for students (under 18). A special family price of $150 includes tickets for 2 adults and 2 students.
