Nicor Gas Donates to Raue Center's Mission Imagination Arts Education Program

Raue Center For The Arts has announced they have received a generous contribution from Nicor Gas to benefit Raue Center's Mission Imagination arts education outreach program.

Nicor Gas is a natural gas distribution company provides American, abundant and affordable natural gas safely and reliably to more than 2.2 million customers. The company services 656 territories that encompass most of the northern third of Illinois, excluding the city of Chicago.

Nicor Gas has been a part of the fabric of the more than 650 northern Illinois communities it serves for over 160 years. Nicor Gas believes that part of its corporate responsibility is to give back to the communities it serves. With a philanthropic focus designed to make a meaningful impact, the company strives to make communities more vibrant places to live and work.

"As a small nonprofit, we are extremely grateful for the support from Nicor," said Raue Center Executive Director Richard Kuranda, "They truly care about the children, the environment and the sustainability of this community and other communities throughout the state."

The funds contributed by Nicor Gas are to go toward Raue Center's Mission Imagination program. Mission Imagination is an arts education outreach program for school age children offered by Raue Center. Raue Center is committed to presenting the finest arts education programming through Mission Imagination education outreach performances - at the theater and in the schools - for area school children.

Mission Imagination offers a variety of popular and kid-friendly shows each year and has served over 400,000 students. This season's Mission Imagination shows include "Everybody's Hero: The Jackie Robinson Story," "Biscuit," "Monster Who Ate My Peas" and more!
