Mueller et al. To Star in Writers' Theatre's SHE LOVES ME, 9/14-11/21
The Writers' Theatre of Glencoe, Illinois has announced casting for its upcoming production of SHE LOVES ME. The production will feature Kevin Gudahl (Ladislay Sipos), Ross Lehman (Mr. Maraczek), Heidi Kettenring (Ilona Ritter), Rod Thomas (Georg Nowack), Jessie Mueller (Amalia Balash), Bernard Balbot (Arpad), James Rank (Stephen Kodaly), Stephanie Herman, Nicky Schuenke, Bethany Thomas, Andrew Goetten, and Jeremy Rill.
SHE LOVES ME features book by Joe Masterhoff, music by Jerry Bock, and lyrics by Sheldon Harnick. The Writers' Theatre's production will be directed by Michael Halberstam and musically directed by Ben Johnson.
The Writers' Theatre's description of the show reads, "Set in a 1930's European perfumery, we meet shop clerks Amalia and Georg, who more often than not, don't see eye to eye. After both respond to a "lonely hearts" advertisement in the newspaper, they now live for the love letters they exchange, but the identity of their admirers remains unknown. Discover with Amalia and Georg the identity of their true loves and all the twists and turns along the way!"
