The musical twist on the classic tale of The Nutcracker comes to life for children of all ages at The Marriott Theatre for Young Audiences, 10 Marriott Drive in Lincolnshire, from November 8 through December 28, with a press opening on Saturday, November 16 at 10 a.m. Filled with magic, mystery and heartwarming numbers, this classic holiday musical will be directed and choreographed by Matt Raftery.

Captivating audiences for nearly 200 years, The Nutcracker is the story of a young girl named Marie and her unusual Christmas gift. When Marie receives a beautiful Nutcracker on Christmas Eve from her mysterious Uncle Drosselmeyer, she awakens in the middle of the night to find that her nutcracker has come to life. Unfortunately, other toys have come to life as well, including the evil Mouse King. The Mouse King has stolen the powerful magic crown which has the ability to turn the wearer into a human boy. It will take Marie and a team of kind-hearted toys to reach the Sugar Plum Fairy before the wicked Mouse King.

This holiday musical is perfect for all ages and celebrates friendship and the beauty of the holiday spirit. The tale is enhanced by the exhilarating music of Tchaikovsky, along with additional music and lyrics by Marc Robin.

Starring in The Nutcracker is Dara Cameron as Marie, Devin DeSantis as the Nutcracker, Stephen Shellhardt as Joe, George Keating asFritz, Sam Rogers as the Soldier, Amanda Tanguay as the Horse, Norm Boucher as Henry, Holly Stauder as Lottie, Zach Grey as Jack in the Box, and Rob Rahn as Drosselmeyer.
