Inspired by four of Aesop's classic fables, "Androcles and the Lion," "The Ant and the Grasshopper," "The Boy Who Cried Wolf," and "The Tortoise and the Hare," HOW CAN YOU RUN WITH A SHELL ON YOUR BACK? rediscovers these fables through the eyes of today's youth. The production will be Directed by Dominic Missimi with Music Direction by Ryan Nelson.
HOW CAN YOU RUN WITH A SHELL ON YOUR BACK? shows how creativity and an open mind can unlock the magic in any situation. Under the watchful eye of the eccentric substitute teacher, Mr. Sopperstein, six students spend an hour in detention exploring their imaginations through one of the library books, Aesop's Fables. Hesitant at first, the six students quickly find enthusiasm for the stories as they bring the tales to life as never before.
